white whelm
A decorative bowl crafted from a piece of Sequoia with an unknown origin. The texturing technique I use creates a dramatic contrast between the hard and soft grains of the wood, evoking the natural beauty of ocean sandstone shaped over time by wind and waves. At least, that’s what I see (:
Finished with layers of white hardwax oil, paint, and lacquer.
Dimensions (approx.):
Ø: 8-1/4” (21 cm)
H: 4-1/2” (10cm)
